SUPPORT RELIEF EFFORTS IN EASTERN UKRAINE
- Since the conflict started in East Ukraine, in mid-April 2014, factories and mines have closed down and pensions have been cut off. Circumstances are so dire that civilians are not only dying as direct casualties of the conflict but also because they are literally starving.
- Basic food, clothes and medicine is still available within the East of the country, but the biggest problem is that people no longer have any money left to buy these supplies. A number of aid groups and churches are reaching out to the needy within this area, but the need is still very great.
- INcontext‘s partner in Ukraine is working together with a church union in the country to provide much-needed supplies to people trapped in the conflict zone in the East of the country.
